Prosecuting Attorney Jason D. Holdren announces that Jason McCormick, age 38, of Oak Hill, Ohio (Gallia County) was convicted by a Gallia County jury yesterday, June 14, 2024. Following a five-day jury trial, guilty verdicts were returned for all 28 counts of Rape, felonies of the first degree. McCormick faces 3-11 years in prison on each of the 28 counts for a maximum possible sentence of 308 years in prison.
A sentencing date has not been scheduled at this time. Following the verdict, McCormick was remanded to the custody of the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office to be held without bond until sentenced by Judge Margaret Evans.
