Prosecuting Attorney Jason D. Holdren announces that the Gallia County Grand Jury met in July and returned indictments for the following individuals:
– Anthony-Carlos S. Whigham, age 34, of Detroit, Michigan, one count of Trafficking in Cocaine, a felony of the first degree, one count of Possession of Cocaine, a felony of the first degree, and one count of Operating a Vehicle with a Hidden Compartment to Transport a Controlled Substance, a felony of the second degree.
– John M. Brewer, age 19, of Patriot, Ohio, one count of Improper Handling of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle, a felony of the fourth degree.
– Carrie L. Wooten, age 28, of Pomeroy, Ohio, one count of Identity Fraud, a felony of the fifth degree.
– Tammy Bonecutter, age 47, of Gallipolis, Ohio, two counts of Felony OVI, felonies of the third degree.
– James E. Brace, Jr., age 43, of Racine, Ohio, one count of Theft, a felony of the fifth degree.
– Harvey A. Brown, age 33, of Bidwell, Ohio, one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.
– Derrick J. Ward, age 55, of Gallipolis, Ohio, two counts of Felony OVI, felonies of the fourth degree.
– Ashley D. Neville, age 28, of Bidwell, Ohio, one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.
– James A. Roberts, age 31, of Gallipolis, Ohio, one count of Domestic Violence, a felony of the third degree, two counts of Kidnapping, felonies of the first degree, and one count of Disrupting Public Service, a felony of the fourth degree.
– Melvin S. Valentine, age 41, of Gallipolis, Ohio, two counts of Possession of Cocaine, felonies of the fifth degree.
– Edna C. Bonecutter, age 51, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, one count of Possession of Heroin, a felony of the fifth degree.
– Tyler D. Wamsley, age 24, of Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia, one count of Failure to Appear, a felony of the fourth degree.
The cases against those indicted will proceed in the Gallia County Common Pleas Court.
