March Grand Jury Indictments Announced

Prosecuting Attorney Jason D. Holdren announces that the Gallia County Grand Jury met in March and returned indictments for the following individuals:

– Synthia L. Hurt of Bidwell, Ohio, one count of Possession of Heroin, a felony of the fifth degree, and one count of Illegal Conveyance of Drug of Abuse onto the Grounds of a Specified Government Facility, a felony of the third degree.

– Brian K. Grabans of Gallipolis, Ohio, one count of Breaking and Entering, a felony of the fifth degree.

– Ravyn Barr of Vinton, Ohio, one count of Theft, a felony of the fifth degree.

– Timothy M. Petro of Crown City, Ohio, one count of Breaking and Entering, a felony of the fifth degree, and one count of Safe Cracking, a felony of the fourth degree.

– Jamin D. Johnson of Gallipolis, Ohio, one count of Failure to Appear, a felony of the fourth degree.

– James N. Johnson of Gallipolis, Ohio, one count of Sexual Battery, a felony of the third degree, and one count of Gross Sexual Imposition, a felony of the third degree.

– Eddie R. Bryant of Charleston, West Virginia, two counts of Tampering with Evidence, felonies of the third degree, one count of Possession of Cocaine, a felony of the fifth degree, one count of Possession of Heroin, a felony of the first degree, and one count of Trafficking in Heroin, a felony of the first degree.

Sanders of Charleston, West Virginia, one count of Possession of Heroin, a felony of the first degree, one count of Trafficking in Heroin, a felony of the first degree, one count of Illegal Conveyance of Drug of Abuse onto the Grounds of a Specified Government Facility, a felony of the third degree, one count of Identity Theft, a felony of the fifth degree, two counts of Tampering with Evidence, felonies of the third degree, and one count of Possession of Cocaine, a felony of the fifth degree.

– Ryan E. Curtis of Gallipolis, Ohio, one count of Grand Theft, a felony of the fourth degree.

– Aaron Cordell of Bidwell, Ohio, one count of Assault on a Peace Officer, a felony of the fourth degree.

– Jaquille M. Cordell of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, one count of Possession of Heroin, a felony of the fourth degree, one count of Trafficking in Heroin, a felony of the fourth degree, one count of Tampering with Evidence, a felony of the third degree.

– Sherry L. Sayre of Gallipolis, Ohio, one count of Telecommunication Fraud, a felony of the fifth degree.

– Vernon C. Taylor of Vinton, Ohio, nine counts of Rape, felonies of the first degree, and three counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, felonies of the third degree.

The cases against those indicted will proceed in the Gallia County Common Pleas Court.
