CASE SENTENCED TO 10 LIFE SENTENCES; PAROLE ELIGIBLE AFTER SERVING 180 YEARS

Gallia County Prosecuting Attorney, Jason D. Holdren, announces that Matthew Case, age 43, of Rio Grande, Ohio, was sentenced today by Common Pleas Judge Margaret Evans to ten life sentences, consecutive to one another, and an additional 30 years for essentially 180 years to life in prison. Case was sentenced today following his prior convictions of ten counts of Rape and six counts of Gross Sexual Imposition of minors under the age of ten.

“To the victims’ families: Our thoughts and prayers are with you. This chapter might be closed, but I know you still have a long road of recovery ahead. I hope this conviction and sentence will allow you to have some closure knowing that he will never harm your children or anyone else’s children ever again,” stated Holdren.
