12 SENT TO PRISON OR CBCF

Gallia County Prosecuting Attorney, Jason D. Holdren, announces the recent sentencings of twelve individuals by Judge Margaret Evans in the Gallia County Common Pleas Court.

Shelena M. Doss, age 28, of Gallipolis, Ohio, was recently convicted of two counts of Escape, both felonies of the fifth degree, and Trespass in a Habitation, a felony of the fourth degree. Doss was sentenced to 34 months in prison.

Jeremy A. Nichols, age 41, of Cheshire, Ohio, was recently convicted of Failure to Appear, a felony of the fourth degree, and four (4) counts of Nonsupport of Dependents, felonies of the fifth degree, where Nichols owes over $67,000 in child support. Nichols was sentenced to four (4) years in prison for his convictions. Nichols was on Post Release Control (parole) at the time of committing these new crimes for a prior Felonious Assault conviction. Nichols’ remaining time on Post Release Control was ordered to be served in prison consecutive to his prison sentence. In total, Nichols was ordered to serve five (5) years and three (3) months in prison.

Timber M. Goelling, age 28, of Gallipolis, Ohio, was recently convicted of Trafficking in Drugs in the Vicinity of a Juvenile, a felony of the third degree. Goelling was sentenced to prison for three (3) years.

Noah J. Robinette, age 34, of Vinton, Ohio, was recently found to have violated the terms of his Community Control by failing to successfully complete a Community Based Corrections Facility (CBCF). Robinette’s original conviction was for Having Weapons While Under Disability, a felony of the third degree. Robinette was sentenced to prison for two (2) years.

Richard E. Henderson, age 49, of Columbus, Ohio, was recently convicted of Illegal Conveyance of Drugs onto the Grounds of a Detention Facility, a felony of the third degree, and Possession of Drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. Henderson was sentenced to prison for two (2) years.

Vernon C. Taylor, age 35, of Vinton, Ohio, was recently convicted of two counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, both felonies of the third degree. Taylor was sentenced to 54 months in prison and will be required to register as a Tier II Sex Offender.

Richard E. Camp, age 37, of Albany, Ohio, was recently found to have violated the terms of his Community Control by failing to report to probation, failing to comply with treatment, and having a positive test for drugs. Camp’s original conviction was for Possession of Drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. Camp was ordered to enter and successfully complete a CBCF and halfway house.

Eric L. Cox, age 23, of Middleport, Ohio, was recently found to have violated the terms of his Community Control. Cox’s original conviction was for Receiving Stolen Property, a felony of the fifth degree. Cox was ordered to enter and successfully complete a CBCF, halfway house, and the Gallia County Common Pleas Drug Court.

Jodi N. Woodyard, age 27, of Gallipolis, Ohio, was originally convicted of Possession of Heroin, a felony of the fifth degree, and was ordered to complete Gallia Count Common Pleas Drug Court. Woodyard violated numerous terms of Drug Court and was placed on Electronically Monitored House Arrest as a sanction. Thereafter, Woodyard violated the terms of House Arrest. The Court ordered Woodyard to successfully complete a CBCF, halfway house, and the Gallia County Common Pleas Drug Court.

Joseph A. Collins, age 34, of Gallipolis, Ohio, was recently found to have violated the terms of his Community Control by failing to report to probation and being noncompliant with SAM (substance abuse monitoring) and treatment. Collins’ original conviction was for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. Collins was ordered to enter and successfully complete a CBCF, halfway house, and the Gallia County Common Pleas Drug Court.

David L. Crager, Jr., age 42, of South Point, Ohio, was recently convicted of Theft, a felony of the fifth degree. Crager was sentenced to 36 months Community Control and ordered to successfully complete a CBCF and halfway house.

Ryan S. Donohue, age 24, of Vinton, Ohio, was recently convicted of Breaking and Entering, a felony of the fifth degree. Donohue was sentenced to 36 months Community Control and ordered to successfully complete a CBCF. Upon release from the CBCF, Donohue was ordered to be evaluated for a halfway house and participation in the Gallia County Common Pleas Drug Court.
