Gallia County Prosecuting Attorney, Jason D. Holdren, announces that Matthew S. Preston, age 38, of Gallipolis, Ohio, was convicted today of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide, a felony of the second degree, in the Gallia County Common Pleas Court.
Preston is set to be sentenced by Judge Margaret Evans in the Gallia County Common Pleas Court on Monday, January 28, 2019. Preston faces up to 8 years in prison for his conviction. The State of Ohio will be seeking the maximum penalty for the Defendant.
